Social Harmony and Development Society staff and Board Members are very active in conducting various activities for the community upliftment,
        as soon as we get the funds through local and international donors, so that the community members take full advantage of the programs which
        Social Harmony and Development Organization intends to do for their development. Therefore, SHADO has conducted various activities which are
        mentioned as below for information and record;

          Social Harmony

        Social Harmony and Development Organization is very keen to create Social Harmony among the communities living together, therefore, for such
        reason we managed to conduct various programs in different areas of Sialkot, and invited renowned and like minded persons as Chief Guest of the
        programs and the guest actively participated in the program and delivered valuable speeches which the touched the hearts of the participants.
        SHADO, is quite confident that through Social Harmony Program we will bring change in the thinking of the communities living since long together.

        Social Harmony and Development Organization have made various organizations as its members who have included the subject of
        Social Harmony in there objective and now actively working on this subject to create social harmony in the community within their target areas.   

        During the program which Social Harmony and Development Organization nearly 700-participants attended the program in 6-programs, which
        we think is a challenge to gather such a huge crowd in Social Harmony Program from various areas, and above all the information which we wishes
        to spread has reached to almost 700 x 6= 4,200 community members.

          Free Health Care Facility For The Poor Community Members

        Social Harmony and Development Organization is very thankful to Texas Christian Community for providing financial assistance to start Free
        Health Care for the poor community of Aadha community. The management of SHADO started the free clinic in a small room and paying very
        nominal rent which includes the utility bills. We purchase medicines from various shops who some times give these medicines on lowest market
        rates and some give us as donations. We also request various medicine making firms for the medicines, who most graciously provide us medicines
        as donations, which we utilize to fulfill the needs of our community members.

        We have hired a qualified MBBS doctor on contract basis, who thrice a week visit the clinic and check the patients with commitment and concern.
        We have also hired a qualified staff nurse who usually take care of the clinic and if necessary call doctor when there is emergency other than the
        planed visits of the doctors. However, the nurse opens the clinic 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the morning and 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM in the evening. To
        date we have managed to check nearly 1,500 patients of various diseases and so far distributed medicines which cost almost RS: 70,000/- which
        is a huge amount for a small organization like SHADO.

          Free Books Distribution Program

        Social Harmony and Development Organization is also very concerned for the students who are willing to continue their education, but due to
        financial constraints of the there parents unable to continue their education. However, we managed to collect funds for these children and so far
        assisted 39 boys and girls by providing them course books of various grades and now these children are able to continue their education, and we
        are also very happy that these children are able to continue their education.

        Social Harmony and Development Organization does not receive any funds from any donor, but the funds for the purchase of course books are
        solely collected and contributed by the Board Members for which we are very thankful to them and hope that in near future we will continue this
        activity and will try to find a suitable donor for this valuable program.

          Free Food Distribution Program


        Social Harmony and Development Organization also started Free Food Distribution Program with the financial assistance of Texas Christian
        Community, USA and through local fund raising. SHADO managed to support near 41-poor families living below the poverty line by providing them
        food items like, Flour, Pluses, Spices, Sugar, Cooking Oil, Salt, Tea Leaves, etc. However, the distribution of food items to these poor community
        members is not a proper solution, we are trying to provide skill training to male and female community members so that they may be able to earn
        some income in a dignified manner and be able to support their families properly

          Women Rights Awareness Programs

        Social Harmony and Development Organization is also very concerned for creating awareness on women rights and for such reason conducted
        7-various programs in this respect. SHADO is very lucky that its Board Members are very interested in carrying forward such activity as it helps the
        women community to know about their rights easily and these enlightened women are again used to inform other community women by forming
        various field groups whose responsibility is to aware other women in their residential areas by calling small meetings in homes. However, SHADO
        is quite keen to keep the Women Rights Awareness Training Program operative and functional which really helps the women community to learn
        about their rights and for such reason we will request supporters to help SHADO financially to keep the program operative.

          Street Theater

        Social Harmony and Development Organization is using the tool of Street Theater in such a fashion that community members get information how to
        eradicate social problems in which they are indulge since long. SHADO has a trained team who conduct various programs in different areas of
        Sialkot on various social issues, which really helped the organization to keep the community members aware about the good and bad activities
        and even their solution as well. However, we does not have any funds for such program but still continuing this program as it is a good tool to
        develop and guide the community in a positive direction.

         Rehabilitation of Disabled Children

        Social Harmony and Development Organization (SHADO) started the Rehabilitation of Disabled Children program with the financial assistance
        amounting of Stichting Liliane Fonds, The Netherlands. The main objective of the program is to provide operation, braces facilities to the children in
        which all the expenses are bared by the organization, and even provide school fees the disabled children who are attending school regularly and
        wishes to continue there education. SHADO has provided operation facility to four children, Income Generation Support to one disabled children,
        braces to 5-disabled children and school fees to almost 7-children. The program is being implemented very professionally and the services being
        provided to the disabled children were according to the health standards. SHADO is very positive in expanding the program and wishes to support
        a larger number of disabled children and will request our donor to help and assist SHADO to continue its program.

         Women Desk

        Social Harmony and Development Organization, SHADO has a women desk who is responsible to take care of women projects and constantly visit
        women community members of SHADO target area and gather information about their problems and issues and also guide them to solve the
        problems in which they are indulge since long.

        The Women Desk is very active and has regular meetings in which they make plans on various women issues and share their ideas with each other
        in order to provide women community members solutions to their problems and how to counter problems and from where to get help and guidance
        regarding their problems.

        The Women Desk is working independently and is answerable to the President of the Board and is also responsible to make contact with the
        donors and also send reports regarding the programs and their activities which were conducted for the women community members from time to
        time.

         Publishing of Magazines

        Social Harmony and Development Organization is planning to publish magazine for the creating awareness on women rights and other women issues
        which will definitely make a difference in the community.

        A separate publishing department is formed who is responsible to collect various information regarding the women issues, rights, political
        information, health and other issues of common human being and specially women issues, as women community is the most effected segment of
        our community and need attention and we are quite confident that this program will definitely bring a positive change in the thinking of the
        community members and above all women community will receive awareness at a very low cost.

        The Publishing Department has a legal binding of Government, and is Tax Exempted and will be published monthly with the name of DAY TIME.
        The magazine will be distributed all over Pakistan with a strong net work which helps the Publishing department in sending various information on
        the above mentioned topics, which after a thorough discussion will be published in the magazine and will be sent to its regular reading subscriber.
        The magazine will be bilingual (English & Urdu) which will help both the communities to read the topics easily and get awareness too.
